Outlook Express E-mail Setup Instructions

Step 1 - Open Outlook Express and go to the Tools menu.

Step 2 - Choose Accounts. Click the Add button and select Mail.


Step 3 - Type in the display name.

Step 4 - Type in your e-mail address.

Step 5 - Select POP3 for your incoming mail server.  For both incoming and outgoing mail type in mail.yourdomain.com.  (make sure to substitute your actual domain name)

Step 6 - For Account name type in your full e-mail address.  Type in your password and make sure that "Remember password" is checked.

Step 7 - Click Finish.  But you are not done yet, please see below.

Step 8 - Once you click Finish above the screen below will be present.  Select the account you just setup and double click on it.

Step 9 - Click on the Servers tab as shown below.  Make sure that "My server requires authentication" is checked.  Click Apply and then OK.

Step 10 - Click Close.  And then close Outlook Express.

Step 11:  Open outlook express up and compose an e-mail to the account you just setup.  Click send and receive once to send it, wait a minute or so then click send and receive again.  You should receive the e-mail you just sent.  That's it, you're done!
